How to apply

  1. Register on pminternship.mca.gov.in with Aadhaar-based e-KYC
  2. Complete your profile — education, skills, preferred sectors and locations
  3. Browse internship postings and apply (multiple applications allowed within limits)
  4. Companies shortlist and select; accepted candidates join with the ₹6,000 grant
  5. Attend the full 12 months to receive the completion certificate

Registration is free — payments come directly to your Aadhaar-seeded account.

Making the internship count

  • Treat it as a 12-month interview — conversion offers go to consistent performers
  • Pick sector-fit over brand-fit: logistics/manufacturing internships often convert faster than oversubscribed IT roles
  • Keep your attendance and conduct clean; the allowance is linked to active participation

Frequently asked questions

Is this a job guarantee?

No — it is a paid internship. Many companies offer roles to good interns, but conversion is not mandated.

Can final-year students apply?

You must not be in full-time education at the time of the internship; distance/online students remain eligible.

How is the ₹5,000 paid?

₹500 comes from the company monthly (CSR); on confirmation of that payment, the government transfers ₹4,500 by DBT to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
