A PM Surya Ghar application moves through several stages — feasibility, installation, net-metering, inspection and finally subsidy payment — and each stage is trackable on the national portal. This guide shows how to check your status and what to do at every stage where applications commonly stall.
How to check your application status
- Open pmsuryaghar.gov.in
- Click Login and sign in with your registered mobile number
- Your dashboard shows the current stage of your rooftop solar application
- Track feasibility approval, vendor/installation updates, net-meter request and subsidy disbursal from the same dashboard
Login with your registered mobile number to see live progress.
The stages explained
| Stage | What happens | Typical time |
| Application submitted | DISCOM receives your request | — |
| Feasibility approval | DISCOM checks sanctioned load & technical feasibility | Days to a few weeks |
| Vendor & installation | Registered vendor installs the plant | 1–3 weeks after you engage a vendor |
| Net-meter request | You apply; DISCOM installs the net meter | 1–4 weeks |
| Inspection & commissioning | DISCOM inspects; commissioning certificate issued on the portal | Days to weeks |
| Subsidy disbursal | Submit bank details + cancelled cheque; subsidy credited | Usually within 30 days of commissioning |
Stuck at a stage? Fixes
- Feasibility pending long: check for DISCOM queries in your dashboard; your sanctioned load may need enhancement first — apply for load enhancement with your DISCOM
- Vendor delays: you can choose any registered vendor from the portal list — get quotes from 2–3 and switch if yours is unresponsive
- Net-meter delay: follow up with your DISCOM consumer office quoting your application number
- Subsidy not credited after 30 days: verify your bank details and cancelled-cheque upload; raise a grievance on the portal helpdesk
Frequently asked questions
Where do I see my subsidy amount?
The dashboard shows the sanctioned subsidy based on your approved capacity — ₹30,000/kW up to 2 kW and ₹78,000 maximum for 3 kW+.
My installation is done but status shows pending.
The vendor must upload plant details and you must submit the net-meter request before the DISCOM inspection is scheduled. Confirm both steps are completed in the portal.
Can I track by application number without login?
The portal ties tracking to your mobile-number login; keep that number active throughout the process.
